MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Nearly two-thirds of respondents to a new poll say U.S. Supreme Court justices base their decisions on the law rather than politics.  The Marquette University Law School poll released Monday found 64% of respondents said they believe the law, rather than politics, mostly motivates the justices' decisions.  The survey also found that 71% of respondents favor fixed terms for justices. Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a detached garage in Fond du Lac.   On Saturday firefighters were called to the scene at 599 East Bank Street for a report of  detached garage on fire.  When firefighters arrived the homeowner had extinguished most of the fire using a garden hose, but not before it melted siding on the garage, and started to melt some of the siding on the house.  The fire was started […]
