A Beaver Dam man is going to prison after being convicted of his fifth drunken driving offense. Sixty year old Antonio Rodriguez Soto will spend two years in prison with an additional four years of supervision. According to a criminal complaint in June Soto blew through an intersection at Forest Road and County Highway DE, hit a stop sign, collided with a tree and continued an additional 50 ft. onto a residential property. His blood alcohol level measured .344 percent. “This was a crash case in which Mr. Rodriguez Soto drove through a stop sign, across an intersection and ultimately crashed into a tree,” Assistant District Attorney Gilbert Thompson stated at sentencing. “Mr. Rodriguez Soto was extremely intoxicated in this instance and continued to consume intoxicants after being released on cash bail. His behavior in these cases warrants time in prison.”
