PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) — State officials say the maximum-security Columbia Correctional Institution remains locked down following another assault on a staff member.  The Department of Corrections says the lockdown, which restricts prisoners' movement, began after the latest assault Friday. 11-12-19 fatal farm accident in sheboygan county

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — One person is dead after a farming accident in eastern Wisconsin.  Sheboygan County authorities say the accident was reported late Monday morning.  According to the sheriff's office, one person is dead. No other information was released.

11-12-19 grain dryer fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a grain dryer at a Fond du Lac County farm.    Shortly after 11pm Sunday firefighters from several departments were called to the scene on Rose-Eld Road in the town of Rosendale.  The Sheriff’s Office says firefighters’ quick response prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby office building and residence.  The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
