11-11-19 evers wants to raise state workers’ minimum wage to $15

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic Gov. Tony Evers is proposing raising state employees' minimum wage to $15.  Evers' administration quietly released its 2019-21 state employee compensation plan Friday. It calls for raising all permanent state workers' minimum wage to $15 an hour beginning June 7, 2020. 11-11-19 edmund fitzgerald anniversary

This weekend marked the 44th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior.  The freighter left Superior, Wisconsin November 9, 1975 and got caught in a massive storm on Lake Superior.  The ship’s last radio contact was with the freighter Arthur M. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. 11-11-19 dodge county inmate gets additional time behind bars for prison fight

A Dodge County inmate will spend additional time behind bars for his role in a prison fight.   Dodge County Circuit judge Steven Bauer sentenced 28 year old Sir Jordan Cosby, to an additional five years in prison with three years of extended supervision.  Cosby  was earlier found guilty of battery by prisoners and other charges.   Prosecutors say in June 2017 Cosby and another inmate attacked a third inmate.
