Tony Evers has vetoed a bill that would have allowed violent sex offenders to live within 1,500 feet of schools and other places where children are likely to be present.  Former Gov. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is suing a home remodeling contractor he says failed to perform the work for which he was hired.  The lawsuit says Antetokounmpo hired David Gonzalez, of Cedarburg, to do some remodeling work at his suburban Milwaukee home. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin wildlife officials say hunters killed 10 elk in Wisconsin’s second elk season.  The Department of Natural Resources set a 10-bull limit for the season, which ran from Oct. 12 to Nov. 10 in Ashland, Bayfield, Price and Sawyer counties.  The department says hunters authorized by the state killed five bulls. 11-22-19 ledgers win state football championship

The Fond du Lac  Saint Mary’s Springs Ledgers have won their third straight high school football championship.   The Ledgers defeated Eau Claire Regis 7-0 at Camp Randall stadium in Madison Thursday in the Division 6 championship game for their  ninth WIAA title.

11-22-19 wi appeals court rules convicted child sex offender cannot be placed in fdl county

A Wisconsin Appeals Court has ruled that a convicted child sex offender from Racine County cannot be placed in Fond du Lac County.  The District Two Court of Appeals determined that Preston Rintamaki’s petition for supervised release was still pending prior to a Racine judge’s order to place Rintamaki at a town of Eldorado residence in November 2018.  District Attorney Eric Toney says the effect of the decision is that Wisconsin Act 184 applies to Rintamaki, […]
