A retired Ripon College political science professor says he anticipates the House will vote on impeachment following House Judiciary Committee hearings that started Wednesday. Political scientist, Marty Farrell says the one thing he is looking to see is if the committee brings forward material from the Mueller report. “There were two basic things in the Mueller report, one was obstruction of justice. Mueller himself said he wouldn’t rule out an indictment of the president for obstruction of justice,” Farrell told WFDL news. “The other thing from the Mueller report is collusion between the Trump campaign officials and Russian operatives.” Farrell says the other question is whether the hearings will uncover any definitive answers as to why president Trump lifted the hold on military aid to Ukraine after his call to the Ukrainian president. House speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has not yet made a decision on impeachment saying she’s waiting to see the hearings in Judiciary. The White House and congressional Republicans have accused Democrats of rushing to impeach the president without any evidence that Trump did anything wrong.
