U.S. Rep. Ron Kind has sided with fellow Democrats to vote on impeaching Republican President Donald Trump. Kind had not said how he would vote prior to actually doing it Wednesday. Wisconsin’s two other Democrats voted to impeach, while all four Republicans voted against. Kind represents a western Wisconsin district that Trump won in 2016 by 4 points. That was the narrowest margin of any congressional district in the state. Trump won Wisconsin by less than a point.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
