12-23-19 oneida teen arrested following high speed chase in fdl county

A teenage girl from Oneida was arrested following a high speed chase in Fond du Lac County.   The chase started shortly before 3am Sunday when a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle speeding more than 90 miles an hour on Interstate 41 at Townline Road.  The vehicle continued  southbound reaching speeds of 128 M.P.H. The chase ended near Lost Arrow Road when the suspect’s vehicle ran over stop sticks placed on the road causing one of the vehicle’s tires to lose air and separate from the wheel. The driver, a 17 year old girl from Oneida,  was taken into custody.   She faces charges of  felony eluding, absolute sobriety, operating without a driver license, speeding, reckless driving, and underage drinking. The pursuit covered a distance of approximately 8.5 miles.    The State Patrol and Fond du Lac police assisted in the pursuit.
