12-9-19 dhs reports multiple cases of upper respiratory illness on wisconsin college campuses

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is investigating multiple cases  of  adenovirus on college campuses across the state.  There have been two confirmed cases at UW Oshkosh as well as cases at UW Madison and La Crosse.  The DHS says the infections most commonly cause respiratory illness, and while serious illness is rare, in some cases it can lead to pneumonia or death.  The State Health Officer says the adenovirus is easily spread and  […]

12-9-19 waupun police investigating animal cruelty complaint

Waupun police say they are investigating an alleged animal cruelty complaint that was posted on Facebook.   Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says the incidents allegedly occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Monroe Street approximately two months ago, but were not reported to police until late Thursday night while officers were handling a theft complaint at the residence.   Rasch says a welfare check was conducted and the dog appears healthy and  uninjured.  He […]

12-7-19 fatal head on collision in dodge county

No. 2 Ohio State will seek an unprecedented third consecutive outright title when it faces No. 10 Wisconsin in Saturday's Big Ten championship game. 12-6-19 three story building engulfed in flames in milwaukee

Firefighters have brought a huge fire in a commercial building north of downtown Milwaukee under control. Winds gusts of up to 30 mph fanned the flames at the three-story building early Friday morning. The partially collapsed building housed Metro PSC and a hair salon. Fire officials say no one was injured. The blaze closed nearby Clara Mohammed school for the day.
