A 16-year-old student at Oshkosh West High School stabbed a school resource officer before the officer shot the student.  Oshkosh Police Chief Dean Smith says the teenager entered the officer’s office at the school on Tuesday morning, produced a weapon and stabbed the officer. Fond du lac police are investigating the theft and vandalism of Christmas decorations at Lakeside Park.   Fond du Lac Parks director John Remond called police to report that Christmas figurines were stolen and lights were ripped down throughout the park.  Redmond says it occurred sometime during the weekend.

The Fond du Lac Fire Chief says it could have been a lot worse.  Firefighters were called to a residence early Thanksgiving morning for a report of a smell of smoke in the house.  The resident was not able to find the source, but firefighters found a towel smoldering next to a lamp laying in a pile of clothes.  Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says there were no working smoke alarms in […]

Bail has been set at $1 million cash  for a Waupun man charged in the death of  his grandmother.   Gregory Spittel  made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Tuesday on 12 additional charges  including  first degree intentional  homicide,   first degree reckless injury, endangering safety,   aggravated battery,  and battery to an elderly  person in the death of  75 year old Carol Foreman.    A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 2.   Foreman died August […]
