12-26 Kidney Donation To Strangers Sees Large Increase

A large number of people donated kidneys to strangers in 2019 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison in what marked a big increase over previous years. There were 28 people who gave their kidneys to strangers and that's a big surge from other years. UW Hospital had its first non-directed donor in 2003 and from then until 2017 there were an average of four such donors every year. […]

A survey of Wisconsin bank executives shows that the state's economy should remain in good shape and a solid year of lending is expected in 2020. A former Wisconsin inmate who was convicted of fraud for persuading a family to pay for non-existent college courses has set himself up in the education business again, but under a new name.  Kenneth Shong, as he’s known to the Department of Corrections, is promoting himself as a global educational consultant. 12-24-19 fdl police investigating possible heroin overdose death

Fond du Lac police are investigating a possible heroin overdose death.  Police were called to a residence on Wilson Avenue Sunday afternoon  where they found a 28 year old Fond du Lac man dead.   According to the police log suspected controlled substances were collected at the scene.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly won't play a role in deciding a lawsuit calling for state election officials to purge more than 200,000 voter registrations.
