12-16-19 waupun council approves atv use on city streets

12-14-19 governor evers accepting applications for washington county circuit judge vacancy

Gov. Tony Evers today announced that he is seeking applicants for the Washington County Circuit Court – Branch IV.   The appointment will fill a vacancy created by Judge Andrew Gonring's retirement,  effective March 28, 2020. The new judge will complete a term ending July 31, 2021.  To apply, please email a completed application form and supporting materials to GOVJudicialAppointments@wisconsin.gov.  Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2020

12-14-19 state building commission approves waupun project

The state Building Commission this week approved millions of dollars worth of projects across the state including one in this area.   The commission approved construction of the Steam Turbine Rebuild project at the Department of Corrections’ Central Generating Plant in Waupun.   In total the commission approved nearly $ 74 million worth of projects across the state.

Fond du Lac County area law enforcement agencies are joining law enforcement from across the state to crack down on drunken driving.   The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign starts Friday and runs through New Year’s Day.  Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says last year in Wisconsin, alcohol-related crashes resulted in 160 deaths and nearly 3,300 injuries.  There have been three alcohol-related fatalities in Fond du Lac County […]

Health officials say the death toll from the U.S. outbreak of vaping illnesses has surpassed 50. U.S. health officials on Thursday said 26 states have reported deaths.
