The Waupun Common Council has approved a proposal to allow use of ATVs and UTVs on Waupun city streets. The appointment will fill a vacancy created by Judge Andrew Gonring's retirement, effective March 28, 2020. The new judge will complete a term ending July 31, 2021. The state Building Commission this week approved millions of dollars worth of projects across the state including one in this area. The commission approved construction of the Steam Turbine Rebuild project at the Department of Corrections’ Central Generating Plant in Waupun. In total the commission approved nearly $ 74 million worth of projects across the state.
The Moraine Park Foundation Board has three new members. Sandy Breth of Malone, Mike Staral of West Bend, and Richard Zieman of Beaver Dam will serve three, three-year consecutive terms. The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign starts Friday and runs through New Year’s Day. Fond du Lac Public Works crews are in the final days of leaf collection, picking up a few remaining large leaf piles on terraces.
