A Fond du Lac infant was transported to the hospital this week after he was attacked by the family pet dog. The incident happened Sunday evening at a residence on Cedar Street. Police say the parents were able to get the dog off the 11 month old boy and provided pressure to the wounds on the child’s face before paramedics arrived. The boy was transported to Children’s Hospital in Madison. The dog was quarantined at the Animal Shelter.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
