1-20-20 sewer rates to increase in waupun

Waupun city officials say new phosphorous limits are resulting in significant increases in sewer bills for residents.  The Waupun Common Council has approved a 7.2-percent annual increase over a four-year period, starting in April.   Waupun city officials say for the average residential customer the estimated yearly increase will be  around $19.  By the fourth year,  residents will be paying nearly $80 more than they pay now.  City officials say the increase is due to […]

1-20-20 former john burke correctional center inmate charged with escape

A former inmate at the John Burke Correctional Center in Waupun has been charged with escape.  Thirty eight year old James Pederson made his initial Dodge County court appearance  this week on multiple charges.  According to a criminal complaint in December of 2018 while on work release, Pederson stole a co-worker’s vehicle at Northwoods Paper Converting in Beaver Dam , stole two other vehicles and items from the vehicles before later returning to the worksite.   The […]

1-18-20 wild goose trail open to atvs and utvs

The Dodge County Parks Department says  the Wild Goose State Trail is open to ATVs and UTVs.  Operators are required to slow down to 10 miles an hour or less when within 100 feet of pedestrians or bicyclists,  and must have a license plate and registration display on the rear of the ATV.

The recent 2019 Agnesian HealthCare Foundation Love Light campaign helped to raise more than $14,000 to support the Treffert Center.  The Treffert Center is working to share knowledge on neuro-diversity and what it means for the Fond du Lac community.  The Treffert Center was founded in 2016 and is the only savant institute in the world.  They have served more than 1,000 people and their families and their services currently span 20 counties in […]

1-17-20 car involved in fdl high speed chase recovered

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle involved in a high speed chase this week in Fond du Lac has been recovered, but the suspect is still not in custody.   The vehicle was located in Chicago.  The chase Tuesday night  started on Interstate 41 with speeds close to 100 miles an hour.   The Sheriff’s Office terminated the chase in the city of Fond du Lac near Hickory Street and Western Avenue.

1-17-20 fdl lawmaker says dpi audit is long overdue

1-17-20 dodge county man sentenced to prison for undercover drug deal

A Watertown man is going to prison for selling heroin.  Dodge County Circuit judge Steven Bauer sentenced 34 year old Joseph Lehman to four years in prison and five years extended supervision for manufacture/delivery of heroin.  According to a criminal complaint Lehman sold crack cocaine containing  Fentynal to an undercover informant  in October 2018.
