MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Senate plans to pass one of eight bills designed to fight homelessness in Wisconsin, a bipartisan package that's run into trouble among some conservative senators concerned about the cost. Several Waupun police officers have been recognized at the Department’s recent annual awards luncheon.   Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says officers A.J. Halverson and Ali Tipton and lieutenant Joe Pflazgraf received Commendation awards for going above and beyond their normal duties.  Tipton, Halverson and officers Bobby Williams, Brad Rasmussen and Ryan Schneider received Life-Saving awards.  Officer Williams also received the department’s Investigation Pin.

1-21-20 oconto fatal fire

OCONTO, Wis. (AP) — Authorities released the names of a woman and her three children who died in a house fire last week in northeastern Wisconsin. 1-20-20 oshkosh man injured in fdl shooting incident

1-20-20 fire damages fdl apartment unit

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a Fond du Lac apartment unit.  Shortly before 6pm Saturday Fond du Lac firefighters were called to the Portland Square Apartments at 55 N. Portland Street.  Fire caused significant damage to a third floor apartment unit and minor damage to adjoining apartments.  The apartment complex was evacuated while firefighters extinguished the fire.   The occupant of the unit where the fire started was not home when the fire alarm […]
