Fond du Lac police continue to ask for the public’s help following a reported attempted child enticement incident over the weekend. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says a witness told police a man driving a pick-up approached a young child playing near an alley between East Johnson and East Follet Streets Saturday evening. The witness gave police a detailed description of the suspect and the vehicle, including a bumper sticker on the back of the truck that read “Teachers Pet.” Klein says despite the in-depth description, the witness did not get the vehicle license plate number. “There could be a very plausible explanation for what happened,” Klein told WFDL news. “Perhaps the person stopped because the child was near the alleyway and didn’t want to hit him. We don’t know, so we want to get to the bottom of that.” Anyone with information is asked to call police at 906-5555 or Crime Alert at 322-3741.
