2-6-20 nfdl man convicted in fatal traffic crash placed on probation

A North Fond du Lac man convicted in a fatal traffic crash that claimed the life of a father and son has been placed on probation.  Fond du Lac judge Dale English placed Travis Wollersheim on three years probation with a year in the county jail.  The judge also ordered 120 hours of community service.  A Fond du Lac jury has found Travis Wollersheim guilty of two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.    Authorities say  Wollersheim  rear-ended  a car  that had lowed  on Interstate 41  in a construction zone in Fond du lac in June 2016,  killing 26 year old David Button and his eight year old son Joseph Button of Neenah.
