Dodge County law enforcement continue to search for an elderly Mayville man reported missing Monday afternoon. A Silver Alert has been issued for 77 year old John Bachhuber. On Tuesday morning, Mayville Police received two separate tips from citizens who observed Bachhuber walking southbound on STH 67 near Dunn Road, between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 and 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, February 16. A search of the area was unsuccessful. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mayville Police Department at (920) 387-7903.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
