2-22-20 fdl man sentenced to prison in pistol whipping case

A Fond du Lac man convicted in a pistol whipping incident is going to prison.  Fond du Lac judge Peter Grimm sentenced Desmond Hicks to seven years in prison and five years extended supervision.     Hicks was earlier convicted of felon in possession of a firearm and batter with a dangerous weapon as a repeat offender.    District Attorney Eric Toney stated that “violent gun crime remains a top priority of the District Attorney’s Office and […]

2-22-20 dodge county support staff of the year

The Dodge County Legal Assistant has been honored as the Support Staff of the Year by the Dodge County Executive Law Enforcement Association.  Patti Kittleson was cited for her work  that resulted in a convicted in the Lavern Ware first degree intentional homicide case.  Ware was convicted in the murder of Sesalie Dixon.   Kittleson was nominated for the award by District Attorney Kurt Klomberg.

(AP) — The state Assembly has passed a bill that would raise the smoking age from 18 to 21.  The bipartisan proposal would bar anyone younger than 21 from buying cigarettes, tobacco, nicotine or vaping products.
