3-6-20 fdl police investigating suspicious incident

Fond du Lac Police are investigating a report of what they describe as a suspicious incident that occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Campus Drive between University Drive and Prairie Road on the south side of the UW-Oshkosh Fond du Lac Campus.  The caller indicated he was driving through the area when he saw a car parked alongside the road with what appeared to be a female driver and what appeared to be a male subject in the back seat holding what he believed to be a handgun to the women’s head.  The vehicle was described as a black colored Chevy Cobalt possibly a 2000’s model with a spoiler on the back. The driver appeared to be a female with long dark hair. No description was given on the person in the back seat.  Numerous Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate a vehicle matching that description, nor were any other additional calls received in regards to this incident.   Nearby schools including Fond du Lac High School were alerted to the situation.   Police had an increased presence around the schools during normal dismissal time as a precaution. The investigation into this suspicious incident is continuing.  Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to call police.
