State regulators extended a winter moratorium on utility disconnections indefinitely and the State Department of Corrections has suspended all visiting at Corrections Institutions. Former Gov. Scott Walker’s spokesman says Walker has quarantined himself in his home. Sen. Ron Johnson is considering self-quarantine after he met with a member of the Spanish parliament who was infected. For most people, the coronavirus causes only mild symptoms, such as fever and cough. The vast majority of victims recover.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
