Fond du Lac Public Library Director Jon Mark Bolthouse announced that effective at 5 p.m. Monday, March 16, the downtown Main Library, FDLPL Express and Chapter 52 Bookstore will be closed. Tentative reopen date is set for Monday, April 6. That date may be updated as conditions require. “We determined that public and community safety was best served by this temporary closure,” Bolthouse said, citing recommendations for social distancing by the Centers for Disease Control and Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Update on library services:
– All buildings will be closed.
– No materials will be available for checkout; items placed on hold will not be available.
– Adjust due dates for all materials an extra 30 days.
– Allow fine-free check-in through May 1.
– Online services available to cardholders such as Wisconsin Digital Library, TumbleBooks and
Language Learning Online will continue to be available 24/7.
