todayMarch 18, 2020

Downtown Fond  du Lac businesses are being hit hard, but trying to adjust to the Governor’s order closing bars and restaurants and further limiting gatherings.   Governor Evers Tuesday closed all bars and restaurants, except for delivery and pickup orders.  He ordered a statewide ban on all gatherings of more than 10 people.   Downtown Partnership Director Amy Hansen says her office  is communicating the governor’s order to all downtown businesses so they can make smart business decisions.  Hansen says unfortunately some downtown businesses have temporarily closed in the last week.  “We’ve posted at least ten.  The Library and YMCA.  But then we just saw Mix it Up Bakery, 18 Hands Ale House.  So it’s really coming in fast,”  Hansen told WFDL news. Hansen says some restaurants had already started shifting their focus when it comes to providing food offering carry-out, delivery or curbside pick-up.   The Downtown Partnership has set up a website at downtownfdl.com /businessupdate to let residents know how businesses have modified their business hours or services.
