3-23-20 suspicious fires in fdl and nfdl under investigation

Area law enforcement and the state Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating   a series of suspicious fires in Fond du lac and North Fond du Lac.   The first fire  Thursday morning significantly damaged a duplex on North Military Road in Fond du lac.  The following morning firefighters were called to fires on Maine Avenue, Lakeshore Drive, Meadowlark Court and Clinton Street in the village of North Fond du lac.  Law enforcement is still collecting evidence, but say at least three of these fires appear to be intentionally set.   Residents in the area are encouraged to inspect the exterior of their homes and report anything suspicious.  Anyone with relevant information should call the Wisconsin Arson Tip Line at 1-800-362-3005.  Tipsters can remain anonymous and tips that result in arrest and conviction can be eligible for a  reward up to $5,000.  Residents can also contact local law enforcement at 920-929-3390, and anonymous tips can be  reported on the Fond du Lac County Law Enforcement Tip Line at 920-906-4777.
