The Fond du Lac Public Library asks patrons hold off on returning borrowed materials at both the downtown Main Library and FDLPL Express until these locations reopen after the COVID-19 precautions are lifted. The library has limited staffing at these locations and are unable to empty the bins on a timely basis. All materials returned by May 1 (which may be extended) will be fine-free. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
