Area law enforcement are looking for the suspects involved in a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle in Fond du Lac County over the weekend. Sheriff Ryan Waldschmidt says the chase started early Sunday morning on County Highway C near Waupun and continued on Forest Avenue Road near Rosendale with speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour. According to the Sheriff’s log the vehicle failed to stop at numerous stop signs and traffic lights and the chase was eventually terminated.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
