The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer has issued an order placing further restrictions on Fond du Lac residents. 3-21-20 department of criminal investigations investigation two fires in nfdl

The Department of Criminal Investigations is investigating two residential fires in North Fond du lac on Friday.  Fire destroyed a home at 17 Meadowlark Court in the town of Friendship.   The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.   While crews were investigating the fire firefighters were called to another report of a house on fire on Meadowlark Court and quickly extinguished a small fire on the back entryway of the residence.   Nobody was injured in […]

3-20-20 fdl school district to start online learning next week

The Fond du Lac School District plans to roll out online classes starting next week.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the district is currently working to identify students who don’t have internet access at home.  Governor Tony Evers announced this week that all schools  are closed indefinitely to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.   Meanwhile, starting this week the District is offering free brown bag lunches for all District children […]

3-20-20 appeals court upholds conviction of former waupun police officer

A state appeals court has upheld the conviction and sentence of a former Waupun police officer convicted in a multi-county burglary spree. Bradley Young claimed the judge in his case was biased because he failed to disclose he had previously represented one of the victims. 3-20-20 unemployment claims skyrocket

Unemployment claims by workers displaced due to the coronavirus pandemic have skyrocketed this week.  Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Secretary Caleb Frostman said Thursday that preliminary numbers show there were 1,500 claims on Sunday, 4,300 on Monday, 8,500 on Tuesday and 15,000 on Wednesday.  Gov.
