The coronavirus outbreak has spread to 21 counties in Wisconsin and 155 people based on the latest figures from the state Department of Health Services.   The latest figures released Thursday were up from 106 in 14 counties on Wednesday.   Health officials say there is now community spread of COVID-19 in Brown County. 3-20-20 fdl county circuit court issues new temporary guidelines in response to coronavirus outbreak

The Fond du Lac County Circuit Court has issued new temporary guidelines in response to the coronavirus outbreak.   Among the changes, all contested matters requiring in-person appearances,  including jury trials are suspended.   Clerks will schedule the proceedings as the court calendar permits.  Any hearing that can be done by phone will proceed as scheduled.  Small claims appearances in intake court are suspended until April 17.   Weddings in a court room are permitted, subject to […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Legislature is telling a federal judge to leave the state's election laws alone during the coronavirus crisis. Gov. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Absentee ballot requests for Wisconsin’s April 7 presidential primary have hit record territory, with local clerks processing more requests than at any point in state history for a spring election. 3-19-20 employee at waupun prison tests positive for coronavirus

A doctor at the Waupun prison has tested positive for the coronavirus.  Prison warden Brian Foster said in a memo to staff that the Institution is taking the situation very seriously and have implemented a significant cleaning process throughout the institution.   Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says her office is working with prison officials in an effort to make sure the virus does not spread.    Mueller […]

3-19-20 fire damages fdl duplex

Nobody was injured in a fire that heavily damaged a Fond du Lac duplex.  Shortly before 3am Thursday firefighters were called to the scene at 231 North Military Road, encountering heavy fire conditions.  The duplex was unoccupied and no one was currently residing at duplex.   The cause of the fire is under investigation. https://twitter.com/i/status/1240559703660408832
