MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Five University of Wisconsin campuses are phasing out coal as a heat source this year. The campuses will transition to a combination of natural gas and heating oil. The UW System in June will end its statewide contract to provide coal for campuses. Authorities have released the name of the victim of a fatal traffic crash early Saturday morning in the city of Fond du Lac.  The Fond du Lac Police Department says 30 year old Eric Ferdinand was pronounced dead at the scene on Amory Street near Arndt Street.  A preliminary investigation indicates Ferdinand was driving southbound on Amory Street when his car left the road, striking a tree and the Cross Roads Care Center building at 115 […]
