MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The largest technical cheese, butter and yogurt competition in the world is taking place in Wisconsin, with a record 3,667 entries from 26 nations. The 55 judges will taste, sniff and inspect the 132 classes of dairy products during the biennial World Championship Cheese Contest that started Tuesday. The Dodge County Sheriff’s office says a  body matching the description of a missing elderly Mayville man has been found in a farm field.  The body was located shortly before 7pm Monday  in a field near Highway 67 in the village of Kekoskee.    The  Dodge County Medical Examiner  will conduct an autopsy  and to ensure positive identification.  Last month a Silver Alert was issued for 77 year old John Bachhuber.   He was last seen  walking […]

3-3-20 fdl county atv crash victim identified

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says a Malone man who was seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash over the weekend is expected to survive.  Thirty nine year old Jeremy Groeschel was flown by helicopter to the hospital following the crash Sunday evening at the intersection of Highway 151 and County Highway HHH.  Sheriff’s captain Bill Tadych says the crash is a reminder about the importance of wearing a helmet.  […]

(AP) — State health officials say testing for the coronavirus will be done at two locations in Wisconsin rather than be sent out of state to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
