3-24-20 sheriff’s office terminates high speed chase over the weekend

3-24-20 rifle accidentally discharges in fdl apartment

No injuries were reported after a rifle accidentally discharged in an apartment in Fond  du lac. The incident happened Sunday at the Rubina Apartments at 75 Rubina Lane.  According to the police log a 29 year old man was inspecting his rifle and was going to clean it in his bedroom, when it accidentally discharged.   One round went through the north wall of the bedroom which leads to the outside.

3-24-20 fdl public library asks residents to hold off returning books

The Fond du Lac Public Library asks patrons hold off on returning borrowed materials at both the downtown Main Library and FDLPL Express until these locations reopen after the COVID-19 precautions are lifted. The library has limited staffing at these locations and are unable to empty the bins on a timely basis. All materials returned by May 1 (which may be extended) will be fine-free. Questions can be sent to circulation@fdlpl.org.
