Two people were killed and one person was seriously injured in a two vehicle, head-on collision, in Dodge County. The Sheriff’s Office says it happened about 9pm Thursday when a pick-up collided with a car on County Highway W near Hillcrest Road in the Town of Oak Grove. The driver and passenger in the car, a 22 year old man, and 24 year old woman from Juneau were pronounced dead at the scene. The pick-up driver , a 21 year old Fox Lake man, was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital with serious injuries. The crash is currently being investigated by both the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol. The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
