The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims of a fatal head-on collision Thursday night. The Sheriff’s Office says 22 year old Ryan Wehrmann and 24 year old Tegan Strook both of Juneau were killed when their car collided head on with a pickup on County Highway W near Hillcrest Road. Wehrmann was the driver of the car. The pick-up driver, 21 year old, Blake Haines of Fox Lake, was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison with serious injuries. The crash is currently being investigated by both the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
