4-17-20 fdl county public health officer supports governor’s decision

todayApril 17, 2020

The Fond du lac County Public Health Officer says she supports the governor’s decision not to let his Safer at Home order expire next week.   Kim Mueller says the concern is that if the order is lifted too soon, we could end up being right back where we started.  “That’s a huge decision.  If you start lifting everything and there’s still lot’s of active cases that are going undiagnosed that are out there we’re going to be back to where we were,”  Mueller told WFDL news.   “This is an opportunity we have right now.  If we need to extend that for a period of time to ensure that we’re doing the right thing, to me that would be the right move.”   Mueller also says she is pleased to hear the governor say he wants to hire additional personnel  for public health departments to help with testing and tracking people who test positive for COVID-19 once the order is lifted.
