A 34 year old Fond du Lac man faces multiple charges following a high speed motorcycle chase. Campbellsport police chief Tom Dornbrook says the chase started Sunday when a Campbellsport police officer pulled the motorcyclist over for speeding on Highway 67. When the officer approached the motorcycle, the operator fled. The nearly 21 mile long chase eventually continued on Interstate 41 north with speeds up to 110 miles an hour, before it was finally called off. Dornbrook says the motorcycle apparently sustained mechanical problems and had slowed to about 10 miles an hour when it exited onto Military Road in Fond du Lac. The suspect was arrested at a Fond du Lac apartment complex.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
