The Fond du Lac Area Foundation has activated their Disaster Relief fund to respond to the short and long-term needs of Fond du Lac County during the coronavirus pandemic. The Disaster Relief Fund was created in 2008, and is set in action only in response to extreme circumstances, such as natural disasters and community crises. Donations can be made online at https://fdlareafoundation.com/donate.html or by mailing a check to Fond du Lac Area Foundation, 384 N. Main Street – Suite 4, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. “This is a very difficult time for many organizations and individuals. Now, more than ever, the needs of Fond du Lac County are immense. We are fortunate that many have asked how they can help, and this is how. The Disaster Relief Fund provides an avenue to give and support,” said Joe Braun, executive director of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation. In order to address the needs that arise from COVID-19, the Fond du Lac Area Foundation says it will work with local representatives, businesses, and nonprofit partners to identify organizations who are helping those impacted and allocate grants from the Disaster Relief Fund to provide assistance to those in need.
