Golf is back and Fond du Lac area residents took advantage of nice weather over the weekend to play area courses. Even though the Safer at Home order has been extended until May 26, golf courses were allowed to reopen Friday under certain restrictions. Rolling Meadows Golf Course manager David Brandenburg says there were over 600 starts over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which is up from a normal opening weekend. “Opening weekend was great,” Brandenburg told WFDL news. “We were very happy. I think a lot of people who haven’t walked 18 holes in a long time, walked 18 holes and are a little sore this morning.” Carts were not allowed unless you had a handicap permit. Payment and reservations need to be made over the phone or internet. Brandenburg says by and large people did a great job of physical distancing.
