4-22-20 officials link seven virus cases to in person voting

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee’s health commissioner says officials have identified seven people who appear to have contracted the coronavirus through activities related to the April 7 election in Wisconsin. 4-21-20 fdl man transported to hospital with minor stab wounds

A Fond du Lac man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries following an incident outside the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning.   Rescue personnel were called to the scene on Western Avenue around 6am for a report of a man with stab wounds.   The man told police he had stabbed himself.  He was transported to St. Agnes Hospital.

4-21-20 governor evers issues re-opening plan

Wisconsin governor Tony Evers says Wisconsin currently does not meet the criteria the White House established to start reopening the state.   Evers on Monday announced what he is calling the Badger Bounce Back plan which outlines criteria for Wisconsin to be able to reopen its economy in phases.   Under the plan the state is setting a goal of  85,000 tests per week, averaging 12,000 tests per day.   Evers says the […]

4-21-20 tavern league of wi urges governor to allow bars to reopen may 1

The Tavern League of Wisconsin is calling on Governor Tony Evers to allow  bars and restaurants to reopen on May 1, more than three weeks ahead of the current stay at home order that has forced the closure of most nonessential businesses.  The lobbying group argued that bars, restaurants and supper clubs could reopen by implementing a variety of safety measures to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

4-21-20 republican state senator dan feyen says governor’s re-opening plan is a “step in the right direction”
