The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says it’s difficult for local businesses to plan for reopening when there is no specific date to reopen. Sadie Parafiniuk says a local COVID-19 task force’s goal is evolving as the state’s guiedelines continue to evolve. “Our goal is evolving based on there is starting to be more guidance being put out,” Parafiniuk told WFDL news. “However a concern that I have is a lack of dates associated with all of these plans.” A Safer at Home order is scheduled to expire May 26, but the governor has said the state will be reopened slowly when the public health criteria of declining COVID-19 cases, increased testing and contact tracing are met. At their second meeting last Friday the task force formed subcommittees on community health, child care and schools, PPE acquisition, business reopening guidelines and workforce re-entry.
