MADISON — Following the Supreme Court of Wisconsin’s ruling striking down Wisconsin’s Safer at Home order, Gov. Tony Evers today approved a statement of scope developed by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) beginning the administrative rule making process to enact protections for Wisconsinites during the COVID-19 pandemic. The governor’s approval letter is available here and the scope statement is available here.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
