(AP) — Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul is restoring the state Department of Natural Resources' power to consider high-capacity wells' impact on surrounding water bodies.  Kaul has withdrawn former Attorney General Brad Schimel's opinion that the department couldn't consider wells' impact on surrounding water bodies when granting a permit. 5-13-20 beaver dam bar/restaurant reopens in protest

A Beaver Dam bar and  restaurant reopened this past weekend in protest of the governor’s Safer at Home order.  Dozens gathered Saturday at the 6th Gear restaurant to join the owner in a protest ride to the state Capitol.   The owner says all tables and bar stools are six feet apart, there are hand sanitizing stations and  he plans to stay open until someone shuts him down.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors have cleared an Oshkosh school liaison officer who shot a student during a fight of any criminal wrongdoing. Winnebago County Assistant District Attorney Anthony S. 5-12-20 fatal crash kills beaver dam woman

A Beaver Dam woman has died from injuries in a car crash last week in Dodge County.   The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 42 year old Jessica Cartwright died Sunday at Aurora Hospital in Summit, Wisconsin.  She was the driver of a car that was struck by an SUV last Thursday at the intersection of Highway 151 and County Highway DE.  The Sheriff’s Office says Cartwright had stopped at a stop sign and then […]
