The Wisconsin Department of Corrections in collaboration with the Department of Health Services and State Emergency Operations Center has announced it will test all persons including staff at Felmers O. Chaney Correctional Center (FCCC) and Marshall E. Sherrer Correctional Center (MSCC) for COVID 19 on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. The Wisconsin National Guard will assist DOC with the testing. 5-9-20 state doc releases 1,600 inmates due to covid-19

MADISON, Wis.  — The Wisconsin Department of Corrections says it’s released nearly 1,600 inmates since March to help reduce the possibility of spreading the coronavirus. Corrections spokeswoman Anna Neal says most of the inmates released since March 2 had been detained because they violated terms of their probation, parole or extended supervision. 5-8-20 gas prices in wisconsin skyrocket

After dipping below a dollar a gallon, gasoline prices shot up dramatically this week across the state.   State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says the average price in Wisconsin jumped more than 50 cents a gallon this week.  Jarmuscz says Wisconsin’s average price at the pump, $1.46 a gallon is still one of the least expensive in the country.  Jarmuscz says as some states begin to reopen businesses, those states will likely see […]
