The latest Marquette Law School poll shows Democrat Joe Biden widening his lead over Donald Trump in Wisconsin. Poll director Charles Franklin says the poll has Biden with 49 percent to 41 percent for Trump. Franklin says it’s been a tough six weeks for the president primarily because of the pProtests, economy and pandemic. But Franklin points out the poll is a snapshot in time and things can change quickly between now and November.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
