MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has appointed state Rep. Chris Taylor to the Dane County Circuit Court. The Madison Democrat will replace Judge Jill Karofsky, who is joining the Wisconsin Supreme Court in August. Evers announced the appointment Thursday. The southbound traffic lane on Brooke Street between Division Street and Forest Avenue in Fond du Lac is currently closed to southbound traffic and will remain closed until the end of the day Friday, June 12th. The closure will be place to allow the water utility to make emergency repairs to the main.

A deluge flooded streets and caused basement back-ups throughout the Fond du lac area Wednesday afternoon and evening.   The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood warning for Fond du Lac County  late Wednesday afternoon as thunderstorms pushed through.  Public Works director Jordan Skiff says when the rain subsided, the water quickly receded.  "A lot of streets were flooded and cars were driving through water or turning around,"  Skiff told WFDL […]
