6-24-20 fdl police investigating shooting incident

Nobody was injured following a shooting incident in Fond du Lac.   Shortly after midnight Monday police were investigating a domestic abuse incident in the 600 block of Bruce Street and heard several gunshots coming from the west of their location on 19th Street.   Officers located handgun casings in the roadway of the 200 block of 19th Street. The Fond du Lac School Board has officially accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert.   Sebert is leaving the District after accepting the superintendent position in the Waukesha School District.   His last day in Fond du Lac is June 30 and Sebert says his decision to move on is bittersweet.   "It is my hometown, I've loved my time here,"  Sebert told WFDL news.  The school board has voted to […]

6-23-20 12 new positive covid-19 cases in fdl county

Twelve new positive COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Fond du Lac County over the weekend.  That brings to 298 the total number of positive cases in the county.   There are 53 active cases, 239 people have recovered and two people are hospitalized.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Jim Johnsen, the embattled University of Alaska president whose term has been marked by no-confidence votes from the faculty amid deep budget cuts, has resigned. 6-23-20 virus outbreak-wi prisons

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Corrections reports that nearly every inmate and worker in a Wisconsin prison who tested positive for COVID-19 has recovered. The department said Monday that of the 268 inmates who tested positive, 261 have recovered. There are six active cases and one who was released. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Two University of Wisconsin-Madison athletes have tested positive for COVID-19 after returning to campus. The UW Athletic Department announced the positive tests Monday.
