7-13-20 fdl street closure

The Department of Public Works would like to inform the motoring public the closure of North Seymour Street between Division Street and Thomas Street.  The closure will begin Monday, July 13 and remain closed until the end of the day Friday, July 17. The closure will be in place to allow the water utility to replace and restore a water services on North Seymour Street.

7-10-20 flooding rain

For the second time in a week several streets in Fond du Lac flooded because of heavy rain.   Thunderstorms moved through the area Thursday afternoon and evening  prompting a severe thunderstorm warning last night for portions of Dodge and eastern Fond du Lac counties.  In the city of Fond du Lac vehicles were reported stalled on several streets.

7-10-20 virus outbreak-wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin health officials have confirmed 754 more cases of COVID-19 in the state. According to the state Department of Health Services, the state had seen 33,908 confirmed cases as of Thursday, up from 33,154 cases on Wednesday. 7-10-20 face masks mandatory on all uw campuses this fall

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Face masks will be mandatory inside all University of Wisconsin campus buildings statewide under a policy adopted unanimously by the Board of Regents. Interim UW President Tommy Thompson said at Thursday's meeting there was no way to open safely amid the coronavirus pandemic without the mandate. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The conservative-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court has upheld Republican-authored lame-duck laws that curtailed the powers of the incoming Democratic attorney general. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The catering company for Lambeau Field and Miller Park says it has temporarily laid off about 1,300 employees. Delaware North notified state labor officials to comply with the law because the layoffs could last more than six months due to the coronavirus outbreak.
