8-20-20 fdl county executive says envision greater fdl not contributing money to lakeside park project

The Fond du Lac county executive says he wanted to make it clear that the county’s economic development agency is not contributing financially to a Lakeside Park alternate master plan.    Al Buechel says there are people out there “who are absolutely convinced that Envision Greater Fond du Lac is using county dollars to help fund the project.”   Buechel, who serves on the Envision Board, wrote a letter to county board supervisors last week to inform them that the rumor is not true.  “All we are contributing is staff time,”  Buechel said.    Buechel says Envision’s president and economic development have contributed their time to work on and speak on behalf of the project.
