Fond du Lac police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a car who struck and seriously injured a man at Lakeside Park last week. Police say a 27 year old man was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with head injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on Promen Drive in the area of Lighthouse Drive last Monday night. The suspect vehicle is described as a black-colored, four-door Mazda or Chevy Malibu. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
