8-26-20 bids for lakeside park pavilion renovation to be opened next month

Bids for a Lakeside Park pavilion renovation project are scheduled to be opened next month.  Public Works director Jordan Skiff told the Advisory Park Board Monday night that advertising for bids on the project started last week and are scheduled to be opened September 10.    Skiff says the city will accept the lowest qualified bid.  The cost estimate is $1.1 million.    The city is moving forward with renovating the pavilion after the city council declined to vote on a resolution at their last meeting to wait until a feasibility study on a new Lakeside Park master plan is completed.
