The intersection of Rees Street and Macy Street in Fond du Lac will be closed Wednesday August 26th through Friday August 28th for grading and paving of the intersection. Access will be allowed from Johnson Street to the alley between Kwik Trip and the Fond du Lac Police Dept. only. Merrill Street right turn lane north onto Macy Street will be closed as well. However, access from Doty Street to Rees Street and then south on Macy Street will remain open.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
